If you were hoping Samsung would stick to its “floating lens” look for another year, you might want to brace yourself.
Fresh leaks have just dropped, and they show the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra taking a sharp turn in design—literally and figuratively.
S26 Ultra Camera Changed
Renowned leaker OnLeaks has shared images and video of what appear to be dummy units for the S26 Ultra, and the biggest talking point is the back. Gone are the individual camera rings we’ve seen since the S22.

In their place is a massive, unified “island” housing the lenses, strikingly similar to the module found on the Galaxy Z Fold 7. While this might look cleaner to some, early impressions suggest it protrudes significantly, meaning this phone is going to wobble like crazy on a flat table without a case.
It’s not just the cameras getting a makeover.
The dummy units reveal a softer, more approachable silhouette. The sharp, boxy corners that dug into palms on the S25 Ultra have been rounded off, matching the standard S26 models.
S26 Ultra-sharp Edges Rounded
That comfortable feel carries over to the S Pen, too. It looks like they’ve rounded off the cap so it sits perfectly flush with the new frame. With a rumored launch in February 2026 and power expected from the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the performance will undoubtedly be top-tier. But as for that new camera bump? The jury is definitely still out.
