A wide variety of Christmas-themed food products have been urgently recalled from leading supermarkets across the United Kingdom because of potential health risks due to significant concerns regarding consumer safety. Aldi, Tesco and Sainsbury’s have removed the products following official “do not eat” warnings.

They did so after allergens not clearly listed on the labels were found. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued a stern alert cautioning that the consumption of certain items from this recalled list could potentially lead to severe and dangerous consequences for an individual’s health.

Which 6 Christmas Foods Are Recalled in UK?

    1. Perfect Christmas Mozzarella Sticks in Blankets
Aldi has recalled its Perfect Christmas Mozzarella Sticks in Blankets after undeclared egg was found. It has issued official advice urging all customers who have purchased the 278 g pack to return the product to their local store, where they will be entitled to receive a full and immediate refund.

    2. Grape Tree Dark Chocolate And Caramel Coated Raisins
Health food retailer Grape Tree has recalled two products after undeclared allergens were found. Caramel Flavour Coated Raisins contain peanuts, affecting batches dated November 2026 (batch code 252918), while Easy Melt Couverture Dark Chocolate 55% contains milk, with products marked October 2026 (batch code 241796). Both of these specific products present a serious potential health risk to any individuals who suffer from relevant food allergies.

    3. Mince Pie Pastry Sour Beer
Vault City Brewing has withdrawn its Mince Pie Pastry Sour beer after milk was found to be missing from the allergen declaration. The recall applies to 440ml cans with batch code G840 and a best before date of 18 November 2027.  The beer is sold in pubs, bars and retailers including Tesco and Sainsbury’s.

    4. Disaronno Originale
The FSA has issued an urgent warning over certain 700ml bottles of Disaronno Originale after small fragments of glass were discovered. The manufacturer has officially confirmed that the root cause of this safety issue was identified as a specific technical malfunction occurring on the bottling production line.

Seven batch codes are affected. Customers are being explicitly instructed to refrain from consuming the product under any circumstances and are strongly urged to return it to the point of purchase immediately.

    5. Calbee Hot & Spicy Chips and Calbee Pizza Chips
Calbee has recalled two crisp products after undeclared allergens were identified. Hot & Spicy Chips contain mustard and Pizza Chips contain celery, affecting various pack sizes dated up to June 5, 2026. Supermarket chains Tesco and Lidl have issued warnings advising customers who suffer from allergies to strictly refrain from eating these products and to return them to the store to claim a full refund.

    6. Aubergine Katsu Bao Buns
Tesco has recalled its Aubergine Katsu Bao Buns over undeclared milk, affecting 258 g packs dated up to December 13, with refunds available without a receipt.

This latest announcement represents the second distinct occasion during the current festive holiday season that the supermarket chain Aldi has found it necessary to issue an urgent recall for a food product specifically intended for Christmas celebrations.

Previously, the “Dairyfine Salted Caramel Filled Gonks” chocolate product was also recalled after it was found to contain undeclared peanuts. Under UK law, in cases of an “urgent recall,” retailers are required to issue a full refund without requesting a receipt.

Stores have now placed point-of-sale warning notices on their shelves to clearly inform customers about the recall and to prevent the affected products from being purchased.
